{"id":643,"date":"2025-02-24T07:15:40","date_gmt":"2025-02-24T07:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/help.spliter.com\/?p=643"},"modified":"2025-02-24T07:23:34","modified_gmt":"2025-02-24T07:23:34","slug":"how-to-whitelist-emails-on-gmail-apple-mail-outlook-amp-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/help.spliter.com\/index.php\/archives\/how-to-whitelist-emails-on-gmail-apple-mail-outlook-amp-more\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Whitelist Emails On Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook &amp; More"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you cannot receive emails while using Spliter, please add\u00a0<strong>noreply@spliter.com<\/strong>\u00a0to your email whitelist and try again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I\u2019m going to show you how to do it on ALL major email apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click the desktop or mobile email app you use below for detailed instructions on how to whitelist using that app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pro tip:<\/strong>&nbsp;Link your email subscribers to this page in your welcome email (or on your email sign up thank you page) to make it easy for them to whitelist your emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MOBILE (TABLET\/PHONE) EMAIL APPS<\/strong><strong><a><\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re using a smartphone or tablet, here\u2019s how to whitelist an email address on the most common mobile email apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GMAIL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the Gmail app, you have two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report an email as \u201cnot spam\u201d (if the email is in spam).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move an email from the promotional inbox to the primary inbox.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If an email is ending up in your spam folder, open the email and click&nbsp;<strong>Report not spam<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also tap the three dots in the upper right corner and click&nbsp;<strong>Mark important<\/strong>&nbsp;to give it priority in your inbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To move an email from the promotional folder to your primary inbox, open the email and&nbsp;<strong>tap the three dots<\/strong>&nbsp;in the upper right corner, then tap&nbsp;<strong>Move to &gt; Primary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>APPLE MAIL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple Mail doesn\u2019t have the option to whitelist like some other email providers do. Instead, all you can do is mark something as \u201cNot Junk\u201d and it will be sent to your inbox. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your Mail app and go to the&nbsp;<strong>Mailboxes<\/strong>&nbsp;screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Junk<\/strong>&nbsp;folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find the email you want to whitelist and swipe left to see options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the&nbsp;<strong>More<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the&nbsp;<strong>Mark<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the&nbsp;<strong>Mark as Not Junk<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>YAHOO<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To add an email address to your mobile Yahoo! Mail contacts (and ensure delivery), follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tap the hamburger menu (three stacked lines) in the top left.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;and scroll down to&nbsp;<strong>Filters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the email account you want to add a filter for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the&nbsp;<strong>+&nbsp;<\/strong>icon to add a new filter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Name it anything you want (such as \u201cWhitelist\u201d), then either:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add the exact email you want to whitelist OR;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the @domain.com you want to whitelist to get deliveries from every email at that domain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>\u2713<\/strong>&nbsp;icon in the top right to save the filter.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OUTLOOK MOBILE<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Outlook mobile, you can add senders to your focused inbox to ensure delivery of their emails. Here\u2019s how:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the email you want to whitelist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap the&nbsp;<strong>three dots<\/strong>&nbsp;in the top right of the screen (not the dots inside the email).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap&nbsp;<strong>Move to Focused Inbox<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the popup box, tap the radius button for&nbsp;<strong>\u201cMove this and all future messages\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;then tap&nbsp;<strong>MOVE TO FOLDER<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DESKTOP (MAC\/PC) EMAIL APPS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GMAIL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three ways to whitelist emails using Gmail:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gmail tabs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marking an email as \u201cnot spam\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating a filter<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re using Gmail tabs (Promotional and Social), click and drag the email you want to whitelist from the tab it\u2019s in to the Primary tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once done, you\u2019ll get an alert saying \u201cThis conversation has been moved to Primary. Do this for all future messages from sender@theirdomain.com?\u201d Click&nbsp;<strong>Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the email is already in your spam folder, mark it as \u201cnot spam\u201d. Open the email in your spam folder that you want to whitelist, then click&nbsp;<strong>Report not spam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, if an email is already in your primary folder but you want to make sure all emails from this sender always end up there, you can create a filter. To do this, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>cog icon<\/strong>&nbsp;in the top-right corner, and then&nbsp;<strong>Settings<\/strong>&nbsp;from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Filters tab<\/strong>&nbsp;then&nbsp;<strong>Create a new filter<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the domain of the email you want to whitelist in the&nbsp;<strong>From<\/strong>&nbsp;field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create filter with this search<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the box titled&nbsp;<strong>When a message arrives that matches this search<\/strong>&nbsp;select&nbsp;<strong>Never send it to spam<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Create filter<\/strong>&nbsp;button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OUTLOOK 20XX<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To whitelist an email in any version of Outlook after 2000:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the blue&nbsp;<strong>Click here to download pictures<\/strong>&nbsp;information box.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add&nbsp;<u>S<\/u>ender to Safe Senders List<\/strong>. You can also click&nbsp;<strong>Add the&nbsp;Domain @domain.com to Safe Senders List<\/strong>&nbsp;to whitelist all emails coming from any email address on that domain.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OUTLOOK.COM<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open the email you want to whitelist. An alert message should display stating, \u201cParts of this message have been blocked for your safety.\u201d Click&nbsp;<strong>I trust sender@domain.com. Always show content<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AOL MAIL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To whitelist emails on AOL:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the email you would like to whitelist.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click their email contact name and address, then click&nbsp;<strong>Add Contact<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter their first and last name (company name works).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add Contact<\/strong>&nbsp;again. That\u2019s it!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>COMCAST\/XFINITY<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have an email account from Xfinity (formerly Comcast), here\u2019s how to whitelist a contact:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sign into your My XFINITY account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the top right, click the&nbsp;<strong>Mail icon<\/strong>&nbsp;to get to your inbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Address Book tab<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>+Create Contact<\/strong>&nbsp;in the top menu (looks like a head silhouette with a plus sign).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the sender\u2019s email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>&nbsp;to save and whitelist the contact.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>AT&amp;T YAHOO MAIL<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AT&amp;T uses the Yahoo! Mail app platform, so whitelisting instructions are the same with both. To whitelist contacts with these email providers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>contact book<\/strong>&nbsp;in the right-hand menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At the bottom of the sidebar, click&nbsp;<strong>+Add new contact<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the name and email information of the sender you want to whitelist (you can use a business name).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MAC OS X MAIL APP<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To whitelist all emails from a domain in the Mail app for Mac OS X or macOS:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the top menu, click&nbsp;<strong>Mail &gt; Preferences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>Rules&nbsp;<\/strong>tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add Rule<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter a whitelist name in the&nbsp;<strong>Description<\/strong>&nbsp;field, such as &#8220;Whitelist: sumo.com&#8221; to create the new rule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For conditions, set the first dropdown menu item to&nbsp;<strong>any<\/strong>. It should say:&nbsp;<strong>If any of the following conditions are met<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the following dropdown menus, select&nbsp;<strong>From<\/strong>&nbsp;in the first field and&nbsp;<strong>Ends with<\/strong>&nbsp;in the second field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the text field following&nbsp;<strong>Ends with<\/strong>, enter the domain name that you want to whitelist. Include &#8220;@&#8221; before the domain name to make the filter specific\u2014for example, to whitelist all mail from the sumo.com domain, but not mail that might come from one of its subdomains (such as @subdomain.sumo.com), type &#8220;@sumo.com&#8221; into the field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the&nbsp;<strong>plus sign<\/strong>&nbsp;next to the last condition to add another domain with the same criteria if you want to whitelist more domains.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Perform the following actions<\/strong>&nbsp;section, set the three dropdown items to:&nbsp;<strong>Move Message<\/strong>, to the mailbox:&nbsp;<strong>Inbox<\/strong>&nbsp;(or any target folder you want).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>OK<\/strong>&nbsp;to save the rule.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you cannot receive emails while using Spliter, please add\u00a0noreply@spliter.com\u00a0to your email whitelist and try again.
